About Iron County Prevention Coalition
The Iron County Prevention Coalition is a pro-active community-based youth drug and alcohol use prevention effort.
We focus on skill-building for individuals, families, institutions, and organizations. Our services are aimed to impact the general public as well as businesses, religious organizations, health agencies, police departments, school districts, and others, regarding such relevant issues as alcohol and drugs, suicide prevention, parenting skills, stress reduction techniques, self-esteem building, and other life skills.
Prevention services are provided by licensed prevention specialists and other staff who work in each of the five counties of Southwestern Utah (Beaver, Garfield, Kane, Iron & Washington). We follow the Strategic Prevention Framework to create and track community change. Southwest Prevention is a Department of Southwest Behavioral Health Center, (a state-designated Local Substance Abuse Authority.)
