About Family Support Center of SW UT
The Center for the Study of Social Policy has outlined Five Protective Factors that help families create nurturing home environments—Parental Resilience; Social Connections; Concrete Support in Times of Need; Knowledge of Parenting and Child Development; and Social and Emotional Competence of Children.
Western Utah is available to serve children and families in Cedar City and its surrounding communities, and we can help you! Located at 102 N 200 E in Cedar City, we offer a clean, safe, home-like environment for your kids. Children visiting the Center enjoy safe, structured, and fun activities. They are fed nutritious meals throughout the day. The daily schedule includes craft activities, learning time, play time, and quiet time. The Center is committed to providing each child with a safe and happy visit.
Staff members are well trained professionals and paraprofessionals with experience working in the areas of family preservation and child abuse prevention. Also, all Center employees and volunteers must successfully complete a criminal background check.
