About Southwest Plumbing Supply
SouthWest Plumbing Supply (SWPS) was established in 1989 by owner and founder Garth O. Green in Cedar City,
Utah. After 20 years as a commercial banker, with no experience in the plumbing industry, Garth ventured forth as an
entrepreneur, and 23 years later, SWPS is a full-line plumbing, Waterworks, HVAC, and Irrigation supplier, servicing
all of Utah, Northern Arizona, and Eastern Nevada.
After a modest beginning as a small, family-run plumbing supply center located in Cedar City, Utah, SWPS
took advantage of several new opportunities, and soon expanded into multiple operations. Cooling and Heating
Supply(CHS) came to life in 1995 to fill the demands of an ever growing need for reliable and efficient, fireplaces,
stoves furnaces and Air Conditioners. Two short years later the Price, Utah branch opened to help ensure quicker
deliveries and higher quality service to the Eastern portion of the state.
In 2000 with all 3 divisions of Southwest Plumbing Supply running strong, an additional branch was started in
Ephraim, Utah and then another SWPS House sprang to life in Springville in 2005. Most recently, in 2009 SWPS
added another store, this time in Mesquite Nevada & does not intend to stop there.
SWPS is proudly a family owned and operated business, and in 2005, Garth O. Green turned operations over to two
of his sons Mike and Jeff, and a long-time employee Ryan Nelson. Mike is the President and CEO of SWPS, Jeff is
the Plumbing Chief Sales Officer (CSO); and Ryan Nelson, who has been with Garth since the beginning and helped
to establish 2 of the current branches, is the Chief Administrative Officer.
SWPS's target market is the professional contractor. Our motto of "Time = Money, Save Some!" is more than just
our slogan, it's our #1 goal. Our advanced technologies, including bar code invoicing, convenient locations and the
speediest delivery crews in the industry, insure prompt distribution and delivery of the best plumbing supplies money
can buy.
The logo of a red rock mountain with the sun setting behind it signifies our loyalty to the rural areas of the
Southwestern United States & her values. It is these values of loyalty, hard work, persistence & fairness that have
made Southwest Plumbing Supply into what it is today & likewise assures a bright vibrant future.
Representing major manufacturers, such as American Standard, Moen, Delta, Bradford White, Ridgid, Aquatic
Industries, Milwaukee Tools, and Toto products, SWPS is a major regional supplier offering a wide variety plumbing
products. We carry Rainbird, Toro, HIT, Weathermatic, K-Rain, Valley & Lake for a variety of Irrigation applications.
For waterworks, SWPS proudly represents among others the American AVK, Watts, EBAA Iron, Star, and A.Y.
McDonald Brands. Available at each location are HVAC products with recognizable and reliable brand names like
M&G DuraVent, Shoemaker, Fieldpiece, Dormont & Ducane as well as fireplaces from Vermont Castings, Monessen
& Blaze King.
