About Henry's Place Camp and Retreat Center
Henrys Place provides life-impacting free Christian summer camping experiences to disadvantaged youth, in honor of our namesake, fallen Las Vegas Metro Police, Sergeant Henry Prendes. Upon completion of our facilities (estimated completion in fall 2022), we will facilitate high-quality Christian and community event/retreat experiences during fall/winter/spring.
We have been providing free camp programs for at-risk children since 2016 and are looking forward to another successful camp season in July and August 2022. We define "at-risk" as those children who are growing up in low-income, high-crime neighborhoods, and/or in homes where one or both biological parents are absent. Our programs are funded entirely by donations and this allows us to provide incredible camp experiences to kids that would otherwise never have a chance to go camping.
